QUESTION 2: Share an experience where you felt like you were in a pressure cooker, yet came out on the other side stronger and grew from it?
QUESTION 3: Have you ever been a situation like Pastor Greg talked about with the man trying to color his future with the dark colors of their past? Did you follow their advice or still go ahead as planned?
Guided Prayer:
Lord we invite you into our midst today. Come and have your way among us as we dig into your word and the message. Softened our hearts and open our ears to what you want to say through them. Help us to be vulnerable enough to dig deep into our past and present to see what you are doing in our lives. Please show us the growth that each of our pressure cooker moments have brought us. Help heal those wounds caused by rejection from those closest to us through this process. Give us hope for what you are doing through us and in us while we walk this journey with you today. Thank you for all you are and who you are. In Jesus name we pray, AMEN!
Action Step:
Take inventory of those times that God put you in the pressure cooker and how He changed you on the other side of them. Put them on paper. When you start feeling the pressure build again, remember how much He’s taken you through and His constant promises.
