ONE KIDS DIRECTOR
The One Kids Director will be responsible for the safety and discipleship of kids ages Birth-5th Grade. By partnering with families, the One Kids Director will develop programming and environments where kids can experience the love of God, develop and grow in their faith, and know that church is not boring! They will also provide resources and events to champion parents as the primary disciple-makers of their Kids while also calling the church to play our part in passing down the Gospel to the next generation (Psalm 145:4).
Top 3 Job Duties
Team Building
Develop and implement a strategy for recruiting and retaining One Kids Servant Leaders using a healthy and attractive culture among the One Kids staff and servant leaders. One Kids should be the most desirable place to serve. The One Kids Pastor will be the primary “culture maker”.
Implement training and develop resources to equip One Kids servant leaders to excel in their roles.
Meet with leaders for soul care and discipleship as needed. Each leader should receive a personal connection (text, phone call, coffee) at least once per SZN.
Discipleship
Oversee all ministry programs and environments for kids ages Birth-5th Grade, including weekend services and events.
Evaluate and constantly work to improve the room experiences, aesthetics, and service flow within One Kids.
Oversee Baptism and Child Dedications.
Families
Provide pastoral care to kids and families as needed.
Champion and resource families by offering seasonal trainings, events, and digital resources.
Additional Responsibilities
Attend all One Church, Departmental, and Ministry meetings (Tactical, CREW, Staff Chapel) weekly.
Participate in all One Church staff events and trainings (All Staff, Christmas Party, Brunch and Learns)
Attend weekly Touch Base with Next Gen Director. Frequency will be reevaluated seasonally.
Provide Supervisory leadership to the One Kids Coordinator.
Role qualifications:
3-5 years of Children's Ministry, Early Childhood/Elementary Education or equivalent preferred.
Exhibit a personal and growing relationship with God.
Possess an enduring passion to see kids and families grow and become lifelong followers of Jesus.
An ability to relate to the unique needs of kids and families in today’s culture.
A self-motivated leader capable of creating and executing a vision.
Excellent relational skills that will allow them to connect with kids and families.
Strong leadership, administrative, and organizational skills.
A teachable spirit that can give and receive critical feedback well.
An ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining One Church values and cultural behaviors.
