Text: Genesis 1-3
[Genesis 1:3-4]
Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness.
[Genesis 1:26]
Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us.
[Genesis 1:31]
Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good!
Fully allow it to get TO YOU, what God did THROUGH YOU
Are you fully integrating your victories?
What keeps us from fully integrating our victories?
A desire to be humble
Immediate engagement in the next project or activity
It doesn’t feel like you’re winning
[Genesis 2:3]
And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation.
[Genesis 2:4-5]
When the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, 5 neither wild plants nor grains were growing on the earth. For the Lord God had not yet sent rain to water the earth, and there were no people to cultivate the soil.
[Genesis 2:7]
Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.
[II Corinthians 4:6-7]
For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure…
7 elements characterize Flow State:
1. Complete Concentration: The individual is completely focused on the task at hand.
2. A Clear Set of Goals and Progress: The objectives are clear, and immediate feedback is available.
3. The Task is Intrinsically Rewarding: The activity itself is seen as rewarding, leading to an increased level of perseverance.
4. Loss of Self-Consciousness: One's awareness of oneself can become less prominent.
5. Time Distortion: One's subjective experience of time is altered; hours can seem to pass by in minutes.
6. Balance Between Skill Level and Challenge: The task is neither too easy nor too difficult, providing a balance that matches the individual's skill level.
7. Action and Awareness Merge: The activity becomes automatic; actions seem to flow spontaneously without conscious thought.
[Genesis 2:15-18]
The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it. 16 But the Lord God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden— 17 except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.” 18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”
