 HOW DO YOU JOIN COMMUNITY LIFE?

Follow the steps below to join the team at One Church.

STEP 1: WATCH TRAINING VIDEOS

Watch the Videos on this page as you scroll down. Review and Download the ESPN Guide. This will be your tool for all the care work you do moving forward. Lastly, watch the video below on training in Asana. This is our tool for managing assignments and information tracking.

STEP 2: FILL OUT THE FORM

At the end of this page, fill out the form to indicate your interest, why and which team you’d like to apply your care training to.

STEP 3: MEETING

Based on your team interest, we will connect you with a care team leader to discuss your next steps on the care team. We will also discuss any thoughts or questions you have on the care training process.

STEP 4: SHADOW OR START

Based on your comfort level and experience we will start you on your care team with a shadow experience (doing it with someone else) or assign you your first care team start!

TRAINING VIDEOS & INTRO

To join the care team at One Church, you will become a Care Partner. Regardless of your eventual team, all Care Team Members (i.e. Care Partners) will go through the same training. All of which is based on our care model: ESPN (Encourage, Scripture, Pray & Next Steps). Our goal is to help people take next steps through those steps. We are not professional counsellors but through the power of the Holy Spirit and the love of Jesus in us we can encourage them in their journey AND pray with them for God to ultimately lead them where He is taking them.

COMMUNITY LIFE RESPONSE TEAMS

Once you complete the care team training. Fill out the form below on which care team you’d like to serve on. Learn more about each team below.

 
 

1-1 Care

Assist people going through a difficult and / or confusing time with ESPN in 1 - 3 meetings (on the phone or in-person)

prayer team (sundays)

Be a prayer team member at the alter during music when we invite people up to receive prayer.

Be a silent prayer warrior as the request come in throughout the week and from Sundays to pray for those who request it.

 

HOSPITAL VISITATION

Visit people at the hospital after injury, surgery, sickness or otherwise to perform ESPN — so they know they are not alone.

WEDDINGS AND PRE-MARITAL COACHING

Become a pre-marital coach using our tool SYMBIS, become an officiant, or join the planning team for weddings.

FUNERALS

Assist with officiating, planning, preparation and care for those who have lost a loved one.
