Communications Coordinator
The Communications Coordinator role would serve as a primary project manager for our Communications team to ensure project timelines, deliverables and deadlines are consistently met. This person will help our team stay organized, communicate effectively and ensure that we are consistently moving the ball forward in our creative processes.
Top 3 Job Duties
Project Management
Organize, prioritize and assign all Communications requests using Asana.
Schedule creative briefs and communicate cross-departmentally when necessary to ensure alignment and execution of project needs.
Create Project Timelines for all projects and schedule corresponding meetings (Brief, Ideation, Iteration, Information) and deadlines.
Push projects forward to ensure every team member is meeting deadlines and prioritizing effectively.
Work with creative contractors on the execution of weekend creative assets, visual media requests and video needs while ensuring that each project is aligned with the One Church brand.
Meeting Management
Manage weekly department meetings within Communications Team.
Lead monthly cross-departmental meetings and organizing projects/tasks that come out of meeting.
Department Organization
Manage the department budget, providing monthly budget updates and filling out expense reports throughout the month.
Allocate project resources including contractors and vendors needed on a project by project basis.
Place orders and communicate with third party vendors to produce items such as signage, prints, large scale creative pieces, etc.
Additional Responsibilities
Attend all One Church, Departmental and Ministry meetings (Tactical, CREW, Staff Chapel) weekly.
Participate in all One Church staff events and trainings (All Staff, Christmas Party)
Collaborate with communications team and One Church ministries to translate creative initiatives, requests, ideas and strategies into project plans, creative briefs and deliverables and ensure tracking in workflow system.
Role qualifications:
Exhibit a personal and growing relationship with God.
General knowledge of creative industry terms and tools (ex: shot list, how to use a .PSD file, social media, etc)
Ability to think creatively and strategically, having excellent judgment and the ability to prioritize projects.
Great communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to make complex things simple.
Be impeccably organized and even annoyed when things are done late.
Care about how things look and feel.
Excellent relational skills that will allow you to work with people across departments as well as nurture relationships with contractors.
Be a non-anxious presence in the midst of a fast-paced department with multiple plates spinning at once. That isn’t to say that you won’t be stressed; you just wear it well.
Highly resourceful, collaborative team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.
Demonstrated ability to develop, plan, prioritize and organize tasks and resources to effectively meet deadlines and achieve specific results while keeping focus on the mission at hand.
